Roughs in progress

It's been a while since I posted anything so I thought now might be a good time. I've been super busy with some other side projects that I can hopefully share in a few months so please stay tuned!  So for now I thought I would share a few Tuff Puppy roughs in progress. These are character designs that are based on storyboard poses done by several of our amazing Board Artists. Brandon Cruise, Fred Gonzales and Rudi Bloss, these guys help make my life easy...I like to work in sketchbook pro and photoshop, these were all done in sketchbook.

After going to CTN last year, seemed like all the professionals swore by sketchbook pro. I got it and tried it out and found it's easier to do line work with it compared to photoshop. Still getting the hang of everything in the program but I think it was a wise purchase. Love the butt shot!

Thx Amy! Yes it's a great (and inexpensive) program. To me it feels more like real drawing than photoshop, keep at it!

Nice to see the roughs. Do you have to do all the other key poses in the storyboard? My favorite is the first one.
