co worker....

Wow, I've been so busy lately designing characters for this new show Tuff Puppy that I've had very little time to do any personal work. So here's one I did a while back of a friend at work. He's such a great guy but what a character. It's no surprise to walk by his cube and see him reading Big Foot Monthly or UFO Digest....

Hey man
Awesome stuff.
So don't know if you remember, but maybe about a year ago, I bugged you for some advice on my drawings (which at the time were (and still are) rather crude), and you were super cool, and took a lot of time out of your schedule to give me awesome feedback. I was really eager to break-in at the time, and think I may have bombarded you with new drawings I had done.
Since then, I've been fortunate to have an opportunity to work for cartoon network and now doin boards for dreamworks, and just wanted to say thanks. Knowing now the kinds of schedules artists are on at studios, its means that much more to me knowing how much time you took to look over my stuff and offer advice.
So thanks for everything.
And thanks for posting all your awesome artwork, I come here quite frequently for inspiration.
Thanks man.

Hey Josh,

Sure I remember and it was my pleasure, it's nice of you to write and say so, made my day!
I sensed your enthusiasm so I knew I was putting my time towards a good cause. It's fun when I am able to "pass the torch" so to speak on to someone who is getting started and eager to learn. Maybe someday you will do the same, it's one of the great things about this business or the arts in general.

Congrats on your gigs at CN and Dreamworks! that's so great, you're moving up in the world... quickly!

Also thanks for swinging by and also your kind words...It's encouraging!

have a good one dude!

Hey

Thanks for all the kind words man. Wouldn't be where I am without all the advice you gave me back in the day.

Glad you like the yetis. Me and a buddy decided to start 'Yeti December' and we're basically just tryin to see how many people we can get to draw yetis. Sort of a blog-community-building/art exercise.

so yeah, if you got some time, doodle a yeti!

Hope everything is good.
